Work included an extensive testing program.● Software work on SCI’s various composite deck design packages.Vibration Analysis of Floor Slabs● Helped run SCI’s vibration consultancy service, where Finite Element software is used to check the susceptibility of lightweight floors to vibration sensitivity, particularly from activities like dancing and aerobics.● Wrote bespoke software to extract required data from BIM models sent by the client. Massively decreased modelling times, with associated increase in accuracy and profitability.Composite Slabs & Fire Engineering● Contributed to various projects assessing composite decking products, including during construction stage, in situ and at elevated temperatures.● Lead author of the NCCI document ‘PN005: Fire resistance design of composite slabs’Statistical Analysis for Determining Probabilities of Failure● Various projects, utilising EN 1990 Annex C & D, EN 1993-1-3 Annex A for Eurocode, and the Galambos et al methods for use in the USA.● Contributed reliability analysis to the AISC ‘Design Manual for Stainless Steel’, recently published.
