I love robotics, and I'm passionate about creating advanced, intelligent automation solutions that enable the continued growth of manufacturing in the US.As a technical executive in Boeing Research & Technology, I've been involved in developing and deploying several robotic drilling systems on both commercial and military programs. My focus has been in precision robotics, robust machine vision, and turning emerging manufacturing technologies in reliable production solutions. Through my work in aerospace robotics, I'm also a part of the 3D coordinate metrology community, and have developed advanced methods to perform volumetric calibration of large scale machine tools.I enjoy working closely with academia, industry, and government to mature and transition ideas from the lab space to the production floor. I love the process of discovery, development, and refinement that happens with engineering research.
