I moved to Australia from the UK in early 2006 and started this company in order to create and sell user interface controls to the .NET WinForms community. I carried out all company functions including idea generation, software development, sales, support and marketing etc. During the five years of operation I sold over 2,500 copies to companies including well known names such as Airbus, Boeing, Cisco, JP Morgan Chase, Siemens, Symantec and VM Ware.

Richmond Software produce an enterprise package for managing the treasury banking requirements of large companies such as Vodaphone. Written in Visual Objects the package was starting to look dated and needed a complete user interface redevelopment so it could remain relevant in the market place.I lead a team that developed a new front end for the product using C# and WinForms. I provided training for the existing developers to transition them onto the new software stack. Richmond Software have since been acquired by Trema Ltd which were themselves then acquired by Wallstreet Systems.

Once the dot-com bubble burst I transitioned from contracting to a permanent position as a Team Leader. IntelliQ produce forensic analysis solutions for the retail industry and needed to rewrite their front end to remain competitive.I took the lead in designing and implementing the user interface for the flagship product using the newly released .NET Framework, WinForms and C#. In addition to technical leadership I also mentored more junior developers as they made the transition to the new .NET software stack.
