About Phillip Malatesta

Most people think of salespeople as rude, pushy, and often arrogant. Through my professional career, I’ve set out to change that narrative. At BankTEL, an AvidXchange Company, I am passionate about helping people and their organizations achieve their goals through sales. It is important for me to have the freedom and flexibility to make things happen for my clients. And for that, I am extremely blessed to have this position. My day to day consists of cold calls, discovery meetings, leading product tours of our ASCEND accounting suite, creating proposals, and redlining contracts for execution. Through my prior years at BankTEL and SPRY, I have grown to love the banking industry and cultivated great relationships along the way. Whether being onsite for a presentation, attending trade shows, or even hopping on a quick Zoom call, I love the process. I am originally from Mississippi but have called Birmingham, Alabama my home for over 6 years now. I love to explore new places whether it be a new restaurant or finding a new fishing spot on the river. I enjoy all sports but have a special interest for my alma mater, Mississippi State University. In summary, I thoroughly enjoy my career in helping people streamline their processes and optimize their time with software.
