During my 19+ year career with Ernst & Young (EY), I had the privilege to serve as the Managing Partner of the Richmond office for 14 years. I led a team of high-performing audit, tax, advisory and transaction professionals who were committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. The Richmond office served some of the region's largest public companies as well as a diverse client base of innovative and entrepreneur organizations.In May 2002, I joined EY as a Tax partner and led the Tax practice in Central Virginia. During this time, I served as Tax Account Leader, providing federal, state and local tax services to clients that include public and private companies. I coordinated all tax services both domestically and internationally, including human capital services, tax planning for public companies, coordination of book accounting ramifications, controversy planning and tax department process improvement initiatives such as outsourcing and co-sourcing arrangements. As a client-serving partner, I focused on providing Tax services, specializing in the Manufacturing, Retail and Consumer Product, and Financial Services sectors. I remain very active in the Central Virginia business, higher education and not-for-profit communities serving on the Boards of Directors of several not-for-profit organizations in various capacities.
