Started as Regional Coordinator for Baltimore and Washington DC.Followed by Director of National Youth Experiences: Responsibility to coordinate missional opportunities for youth groups. I build relationships with EFCA churches throughout the US who are willing to share in their ministry context with youth leaders and their youth groups during a week long mission trip. During this short term mission opportunity, youth group serve alongside the site and receive daily disciple-making training. We believe that 1 week of service and training in a different ministry context can lead to 51 weeks of gospel influence in their own context where they live. I recruit within all levels of the Apex pipeline but heavily work at the high school level and with college age individuals who are hired as summer staff at each of our sites.The purpose of Apex is to mobilize emerging leaders to advance the gospel from here to everywhere. As a ministry of the EFCA, Apex partners with district, local church and our global partners in order to provide an intentional leadership development pipeline.

The purpose of the Family Ministry at Christ Community EFC is to Equip Families for Generational Discipleship in Every Household.The Pastor of Family Ministry seeks to encourage and equip parents to disciple their families so that everyone in their household will know God the Father in an ever deepening and personal relationship, grow in Christlikeness through the transformational work of the Holy Spirit and intentionally show the love of Christ to others.Responsibilities include...-Work as a “leader of leaders” and “recruiter-equipper” who recruits, equips, and disciples adult volunteers.-Dialog and equip parents/heads of households to disciple their family members in their home and to develop and enhance healthy parenting.-Collaborate with lay leadership to advise, plan, coordinate and participate in youth activities (birth-through college). -Provide creative and motivational leadership for the Family Ministry Team. (Children’s Ministry, Nursery, Youth, VBS, etc.)-Support the Children’s Ministry Director, Youth Coordinator, and teachers by assisting with the choice of curriculum best suited for youth and coordination ministry training.-Follow up with fringe students or those who have dropped off in their involvement.-Contact visiting families that have children-Come alongside parents of wayward students to encourage and equip.-Prepare the Family Ministry budget to complement the annual budget planning and preparation process of the church and manage all budgeted accounts and financial transactions related to the Family Ministry program of the church within the guidelines set by the Leadership Board and Treasurer.

Worked with parents and/or legal guardians to develop healthy relationships and parenting skills with their teenagers. Chose curriculum and created developmentally appropriate discipleship programs that led youth to grow in their faith in Christ. Collaborated with the Senior Pastor, Lay Leadership, and Student Leadership to advise, plan, coordinate and participate in youth activities and ministry programs. Prepared a Youth Ministry budget to complement the annual budget planning and preparation process of the church and manages all budgeted accounts and financial transactions within the ministry.

Oversaw the maintenance and repair of shipboard computers, weapon systems, information and network security systems.
