As the owner of CTRL Analytics, LLC, I provide specialized data services to a variety of clients, managing multiple small to medium-sized projects. My journey began when friends, who owned their own small businesses, often came to me for help with data-related tasks. Eventually, one of them needed extensive help and offered to pay me for my assistance, which inspired me to establish my company. I pride myself on creating solutions that are user-friendly, especially for clients who may not be proficient with data. My approach usually ensures that clients can simply copy/paste data into specified areas and then hit "Refresh" to compile a final report. Some of the things I've had the pleasure of assisting clients with are:- Medical Insurance Benefits Marketing Analysis: Wrote Python code that extracts and parses medical insurance coverage/cost data from deliberately/needlessly complicated files provided by health insurance providers, such UHC and BCBS, so coverage/costs can be compared, and more informed decisions can be made regarding what policies employers will select.- Personnel Costs Reporting: Generated historical and projected personnel cost reports from various data sources, estimating costs for the whole fiscal year.- Team Tracking: Extracted data from the Planner application in Microsoft Teams to create dashboards that visualize employee workloads and determine capacity.- Benefits Reconciliation: Automated the reconciliation of payroll benefit reports with benefit vendor reports, reducing manual review time from weeks to approximately 30 minutes.- Survey Setup and Analysis: Assisted clients with setting up and processing surveys on platforms like SurveyMonkey and analyzing the returned survey data.- Compliance Assistance: Generated compliance reports to aid clients in management tasks, such as identifying employees who are late in completing competency training.

- Manages and completes deliverables for a variety of projects – such as Disproportionate Share (DSH), Wage Index, and Occupational Mix – for approximately 50 hospital providers around the United States- Processes public use files from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to identify reimbursement opportunities for both existing clients and potential future clients; maintains dashboards, reports, and tools pertaining to the public use files- Developed several scripts in Python to enter and scrape data from various sources, such as from the internet using the Pandas and Selenium libraries and from PDFs using the PyPDF2 and Regex libraries

- Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of quality outcomes reporting to meet data decision needs- Utilize multiple databases and systems to develop interactive dashboards; analyze and report innovative representations of data in Tableau reports in a graphical and creative manner using Business Intelligence related technology- Deliver reports via SharePoint- Created a data entry app with PowerApps for nursing follow-up of STEMI patients; the data gathered via the app was used to create a STEMI dashboard in Tableau that monitored how patients were progressing and to hold nursing staff accountable for responsibilities regarding timely follow-up

- Perform targeted ad-hoc reporting to help inform leadership’s decision making, promote clinical outcomes and continuity of care through data analysis; leverage data to help ensure accountability- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts in the design, collection, and analysis of data- Create and maintain various dashboards to track progress on areas of interest, such as inpatient length of stay, readmission rates, and trends in appointment scheduling; customize copies of reports for different departments based on their specific data needs- Manage databases and write queries; SQL- Design database-connected forms in InfoPath- Reconcile discrepancies in source data- Created an Excel tool to determine patient lengths of stay, including which patients were approaching or had passed the geometric mean length of stay per the patient’s MSDRG, in an effort to reduce reimbursements to insurers
