Librarian / Teacher
CurrentAs librarian at a school of 400 students, my responsibilities include: -creating lessons for 7 grade levels and teaching 17 classes a week (55 minute classes) -monitoring the behavior and safety of students in my care -maintaining a safe, orderly, organized library for all students and staff -selecting and ordering all reading materials for the library -tracking orders placed using the library budget, and making fiscally responsible decisions -cataloging all new items, or items donated to the library -shelving all incoming materials -Design, implement, and maintain reading incentives for students throughout the school -Participating on committees -Creating, taping, cutting, and uploading a daily student-lead news broadcast -Accelerated Reader/Math committee chair
