Perform analysis on hosts running on a variety of platforms and operating systems, to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX as well as embedded systems, mainframes and Databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2 as examples)• Perform analysis of Splunk produced log files from a variety of sources (e.g., individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system logs) to identify possible threats to network security• Conduct detailed security event analysis from network traffic attributes and host-based attributes (memory analysis, binary analysis, etc.) to identify information security incidents • Receive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts• Track and document exception-based report event incidents from initial detection through final resolution

• Analyze security event data from the network (IDS,IPS, SIEM).• Conduct firewall logs analysis using Splunk• Perform static malware analysis on isolated virtual servers• Recognize suspected intrusion attempts and compromises by conducting detailed reviews and analyses of key event detail and summary information.• Research new and evolving threats, malware capabilities, attack vectors and impact with potential to impact the monitored environment
