VEDANTA PUBLIC SCHOOL is going to be established as a non commercial 10+2 residential School strictly in accordance with RTE Act 2009 in West Champaran District of Bihar in a 15 acres campus. The fee structure shall be a differential and progressive linked with ability to pay, where few students may not pay any fee at all, few land up paying lesser fee, whereas richer students land up paying higher fee cross subsidizing the cost of education to poorer students. Further considering the fact that the students who will attend the school in Champaran, will continue to come from a background where English is not spoken at home, the school has a plan of gradual shift to English Medium. Students will be admitted in Class IV and initially all subjects except language subjects shall be taught in Hindi Medium so that there is a perfect communication with the students. However the important terms will be used in bilingual. Focus will be on understanding and not on rote learning. In class VI, mathematics will be taught in English, while other subjects will continue to be taught in Hindi. In class VII Science will also be taught in English. In Class IX and X, all subjects other than language subjects shall be taught in English Medium. This gradual shift towards English medium will not create English phobia among students and they will be fully capable of studying any subject in English when they pass out from the school.
