The main challenge was to optimise the enclosure for various product variants like Zone-1, Zone-2 and Emergency , Non-emergency and Surface and recessed orientation. Lean BOM, common mounting aids, Simultaneous testing and release of all variants. With Covid pandemic, additional challenge was to develop local vendors for pilot development of parts in India, and Agency testing with virtual witnessing and virtual product introduction.Introducing Emergency battery backup feature for 3 different LED Lighting product lines catering for different applications and hazardous locations. The main challenge was to optimise space for battery and power supply and rationalise the parts and features in 3 different product lines to get a lean BOM.
