I thrive on trying new things.I've always learned best through hands-on experience. I need the field trip, the work-study, the co-op, the pilot project, or the complicated whiteboard drawing to dig into a problem and find the ways out. As a result, I've earned a wealth of experience from different roles that makes compounding interest. I've been at the Help Desk, managed a couple of small businesses, scoped, led, and sold management consulting engagements, coached government contract teams, supported go-to-market strategies and portfolio marketing campaigns, optimized business processes, built financial forecast models, learned (and re-learned, and re-learned) to code, and launched professional services and products. Each new experience has taught me something special that I bring to the next one, and I'm not even close to giving up on trying new things.Making the transition from client-facing consulting to an internal operations and product manager role, it has never felt like that space to try new things has slowed down even a bit. New challenges arise daily, and I love getting more chances to break down silos by leading cross-functional groups to make the best strategic decisions and create new never-before-considered opportunities.I like being the "go-to person" to solve unique problems, orchestrate complex initiatives, implement or adopt new tools or systems, and be the mouthpiece for change in any organization. It keeps me engaged and lets leaders know they can rely on me to make sense of the gray areas.Outside work, my life revolves around my reactive cattle dog, Rufus ("real-life Chilli"). With a reactive dog, training is a lifelong effort to make sure they feel secure and safe enough with you to exist out in the world. What felt like an endless chore at first became the cornerstone of our relationship once I started to see the world from his perspective (it's terrifying out there). If you're interested in learning more about me, discussing career development, dog training misadventures (I'm no expert, I just try hard), or anything else, please connect with me on LinkedIn. I'd love to hear from you!
