In my current role, I assist in the Community Services Division by supporting coordinators who manage the community center, community homes, and youth and senior services. My responsibilities include program and event planning and promotion. I create a wide range of media-related content to enhance our outreach efforts, such as one-sheets, social media posts, flyers for programs and events, event signage, and much more. This role allows me to engage with the community actively and contribute to the successful delivery of our services.

I assist the coordinator in after-school programming, where I am involved in various aspects of program planning and execution. When needed, I stepped in as a Senior Recreational Leader, ensuring that program ran smoothly and effectively. Additionally, I assist in overseeing seven different school sites, working collaboratively with staff and students to create a positive and engaging environment for all participants.

Under general supervision, I arranged and facilitated special events and activities and controlled an event from conception to clean-up. During times of need, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, I took on additional responsibilities, including distributing food to those who couldn't leave home and working at a vaccination site.

Collaborated with a small business in a digital marketing course to identify and address their marketing challenges. Successfully enhanced their social media presence and email communication strategies, resulting in improved audience engagement and progress toward their marketing goals

I dedicated a total of 120 hours over three months to volunteering in various community activities. My involvement included participating in cleanup days, attending workshops, assisting with event planning, and attending city council meetings. These experiences have deepened my understanding of community engagement and provided valuable insights into local governance and organizational dynamics.
