Thesis topic: "Investigation of challenges in risk management in medical device industry".This research explores the challenges faced by medical device companies of varying sizes in implementing effective risk management practices. Through an online survey of 126 medical device professionals, the study analyzes trends in risk assessment activities and identifies potential challenges in current methodologies. By analyzing these trends, the research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the risk assessment process and its effective implementation across the medical device industry. Ultimately, this investigation seeks to contribute to the development of more robust risk management strategies, leading to improved patient safety and device performance.Findings: -FMEA is not an effective tool for identifying hazards, sequence of events and hazardous situation.- To leverage expert opinion from experienced risk management professionals.- By implementing a robust training program with standardized tools and a centralized incident database, we can empower our personnel and ensure consistent risk management practices, ultimately fostering a safer and more efficient work environment
