I was a member of the engineering team that worked on the MVP for Optty. As a full-stack engineer on the team:- I designed and built Javascript widgets that allows customers select BNPL providers for making payments.- I built the Optty retail control center (ORCC) dashboard with React/Typescript.- I designed and built RESTFUL API endpoints that were consumed by the Optty widgets and ORCC.- I investigated, documented and integrated BNPL providers added to the Optty BNPL stack.- I wrote and maintained unit tests for the different optty micro services.- I contributed to architectural discussions for the Optty system

I work as a session lead for the Udacity fullstack engineering nano degree program. As a session lead I am responsible for;- Facilitating weekly workshops with nano degree learners.- Teaching subject matter topics from my assigned students nano degree curriculum in full stack development.- Mentoring learners and ultimately spurring them to completing their nano degree program.- Enabling learners debug issues they face when working on their nano degree projects.

HicHQ is a freelance agency that specializes in building fullstack web applications for clients from ideation to product deployment in production.- I was responsible for leading the engineering team, driving technical discussions during sprint planning and ensuring features were delivered by the end of each sprint.- I was responsible for architecting, designing, and documenting technical decisions for the Backend API and 4 other frontend services.- I designed Idempotent API endpoints that ensured customers did not pay twice for store orders using Node.js. - I built a robust dashboard that enabled customers to create new storefronts, manage store products and orders, and withdraw payouts periodically using React.js.- I documented the backend RESTful API based on OpenAPI specification using swagger.- I reduced API request latency of the backend by introducing a Redis cache.- I lead efforts to integrate a new payment provider in less than 24 hours during a payment provider downtime that cost the company money as customers could not pay for store orders.- I improved logging in the API services that gave better visibility into system errors and reduced debugging time and experience for other developers on the team.- I was responsible for managing all the applications deployed on the cloud (Heroku) and maintaining the deployment pipelines.- I designed entity relationships and managed migrations to the Postgres database.

The HNG internship is a 3-month remote internship designed to find and develop the most talented software developers. The intern coders are introduced to complex programming frameworks and get to work on real-world software.
