As an IPC, we are tasked with ensuring that a customers installation is going smoothly. We handle sensitive information such as financial documents, invoices, and expenses. IPC's develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure project completion and quality. We help customers, contactors, and other IPC's as necessary. We must show consistency in our word and actions, operate with honesty and integrity, and collaborate with others.

As part of the seafood department, different types of fish would be seasonal, often causing a price increase/decrease and stock availability. Keeping our knowledge up to date is crucial to deliver the best service possible. Along with this, different types of fish have different flavors, textures, omega levels, and histamine levels. We need to help customers find the best fish for their dish, and provide any knowledge we can. This includes responding to emails, phone calls, or in-person inquiries.

Store Operations Management Interns go through 1-3 years of management training, each year getting progressively more difficult. We participate in our learnings primarily through the summer, but are encouraged to execute our learnings throughout the entire year. There are few interns selected per store, with a usual addition of 25-50 interns company-wide per summer.As an intern, we are expected to be able to independently run and manage the department by the end of our summer. We attend seminars and training sessions usually every week to expand or knowledge and further grow our experience. We learn useful skills such as: delegation, time management, conflict resolution, diversity, critical thinking, inventory, ordering, and other great management skills. We are also given projects to work on that show our problem-solving skills, marketing skills, and management skills.

As a floral team member, I was tasked with stocking the floral department with fresh-cut flowers, bouquets, and more. I was also responsible for assisting customers with specific needs, such as wrapping flowers/bouquets, assisting in picking flowers for events/personal use, recommending flowers for specifics, helping with arrangements, and more. I also worked on the floral load, which involved lifting delicate cargo, sorting through the order and plants, cutting them, and unloading them onto the sales floor. Different plants need different care, so attention to detail is crucial. Along with this, I organized the floral wall to help create displays to market our product.

Produce team members provide incredible service to customers, helping them locate what they need. Employees are also tasked with keeping shelves and displays stocked with fresh, quality fruits and vegetables with trimming as needed to maintain the quality of the produce. Another responsibility was to maintain the overall appearance of the department, stocking produce to ensure fresh product levels are sustained. Employees also ensured that items were well-merchandised in innovative, eye-appealing retail displays and stocked in correct locations, while recognizing seasonal, holiday and weather effects on product sales. To help ensure our customers were satisfied, staff would proactively approach customers.

Front-End cashiers engaged customers in friendly conversation while accurately/efficiently scanning and bagging our customers' grocery items. Employees properly bagged items to ensure that all products would arrive at the customers destination in the same condition that it left the store. Cashiers also processed monetary transactions in a timely manner and assisted other cashiers if any issues occurred. Cashiers also provided any additional help and services necessary to ensure our customers were satisfied with their visit. The position entailed multitasking and problem-solving skills, while still completing our goal to assist and ensure our customers satisfaction. In many cases, cashiers would work independently at night or via the self-checkout/cafe registers.
