Patrick Kelly is a strategic business development and advancement professional currently working in an executive leadership role at Blackfriars Priory School, Prospect, South Australia. He is a Fellow of Educate Plus, Australasia's peak body for advancement professionals, serving as the organisation's Chair from 2014 to 2016 and Deputy Chair from 2012 to 2014.A Blackfriars Old Scholar, Patrick’s role at his alma mater encompasses responsibility for all facets of educational advancement – student recruitment and admissions, marketing and communications, old scholar and community relations and fundraising. In addition, Patrick manages the school’s International Student Program.Between 2006 and 2017, Patrick served two tenures at St Patrick’s Technical College, a specialist trades and technical school in Adelaide's northern suburbs established by the Australian Government as the Australian Technical College - Northern Adelaide. Patrick successfully developed and implemented the business development initiatives of the College beginning with the successful student recruitment campaign that led to the school’s start-up in 2006, followed by the establishment of critical school-community partnerships. He worked closely with industry bodies, employers, registered training organisations, schools, universities, and all levels of government to provide positive outcomes for the local business community and students making the transition from school to work.From 2008 to 2010, Patrick was Director of Strategic Development at Loreto College, Marryatville. Leading the College's Development Office, Patrick oversaw the College's strategic planning, student recruitment and admissions, fundraising, marketing, and communications programs. He worked closely with parents and alumni on community events and was responsible for the introduction of several capacity building initiatives at the all-girls school.From 2001 to 2006 Patrick was Marketing & Communications Manager at St Columba College, Andrews Farm.Prior to his career in the education sector, Patrick worked in business development and support across Asia-Pacific and Europe with Adelaide-based transport scheduling software developer, Trapeze AUSTRICS. His tenure included major project management work for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.Patrick currently serves on the board of Australian International Pedal Prix Inc., was the inaugural chair of the Blackfriars Foundation and is a previous director of Energy Education Australia and committee member of Fulham United Football Club.
