Flowlens is user friendly cloud management software for stock, purchasing, manufacturing, sales, CRM and after-sales asset service. Built for SME manufacturers and resellers Flowlens saves your time and puts reliable management info at your finger tips.Responsible at Board Level for the Product, my role often requires the wearing of multiple hats, from coder to designer, from infrastructure to user stories. Flowlens' huge success is in its simplicity; this has been our goal from day one, as our end users typically haven't used any form of CRM or ERP in the past.

I was responsible for all creative output of the company, from print to web as well as dealing with clients and suppliers. I managed a small team of creatives, delivering innovative and eye-catching publications that helped sell the benefits of the Home Computing Initiative.

I was responsible for the online strategies for the News Letter, Derry Journal and Farming Life newspapers. Whilst under the ownership of Trinity Mirror, I set up the regional portals for these newspapers, managing a small team along the way. When the Group was sold to venture capitalists, 3i, I was then responsible for the design, development of a new and bespoke Content Management System for our websites, all built with accessibility and web standards in mind.

At Avalanche, I was single-handedly responsible for all creative output for the company, from simple job ads to websites for clients and for ourselves.

During my brief time at TIBus, I was responsible for designing many "pitch" ideas to try to win business. Perhaps the biggest project I was involved in was also the company's largest client at that point: Nutty Dealz. The project was vast, and I was used as chief designer and also as a go-between for the design and development teams.

Lution was going to make us all millionaires. We worked weekends. And late nights. Sometimes we worked from morning, to night, right through to the morning again. It was 1999 and we were riding the crest of the dot.com wave. Then it collapsed. And the company immediately went into insolvency. And we all lost our jobs. But, I still have my Lution t-shirt, my Lution business card, and most ironically, my "Lution Celebrates" shot glass that was ordered by the marketing dept in the anticipation of the VC funding that never arrived. Oh well, ya live and learn, eh?

My first job straight out of Uni saw me at the helm of a £40,000 scanner, working to tight deadlines imposed on me by graphic designers. How I envied them and wanted their fame and fortune. I became a graphic designer. And got neither. C'est la vie! ;o)
