The Career Studies program is such a fantastic initiative! It provides individuals with intellectual disabilities an amazing opportunity for a top-notch post-secondary education tailored just for them. This two-year program covers everything from academics to social skills to hands-on work experiences, setting them up for a bright future.During my time there, I had the privilege of working as a Peer Mentor to the incredible individuals in the Career Studies program. Whether it was helping them with their studies, getting involved in social activities, or encouraging them to stay fit, my goal was always to help them thrive.I also made it a point to foster a sense of belonging and acceptance within the university community. By promoting inclusion and showing everyone the value each person brings, we created a place where everyone felt welcomed and appreciated.All in all, being part of the Career Studies program has been incredibly rewarding.
