Cory is part of EY's Forensic & Integrity Services practice (“Forensics”). He has over 18 years of experience assisting senior executives, corporate boards, and legal counsel with investigating fraud and executive misconduct, assessing organizational risk, and navigating complex business disputes. His experience crosses a broad variety of industries including: manufacturing, healthcare, not-for-profit, and financial services. Prior to joining EY, Cory was a leader in the forensic advisory services practice of another international accounting and advisory firm.Cory has led complex internal investigations for both public and private companies involving whistleblower claims, employee embezzlement, conflicts of interest, and a variety of other fraud matters. He has extensive experience working with regulators, investors, legal counsel, and outside auditors throughout the investigation process. Cory has worked with both clients and law enforcement, including the Department of Justice, to prepare matters for litigation.In addition to conducting investigations, Cory has advised corporate clients and outside legal counsel on litigation and dispute matters, including damage analyses, electronic discovery, document review, and expert witness testimony. He regularly consults with clients on post-acquisition disputes and provides neutral arbitration services. Cory has also assisted corporations and private equity firms with buy-side due diligence and business valuations for financial reporting purposes.Cory has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in North Carolina and Louisiana.
