During my time as editor, there were two significant extensions to the brand. Firstly, a new sister publication, MONDO | STADIA, which began life as a quarterly supplement under my leadership. When the magazine became a standalone title with its own editor, my role shifted to managing editor. Duties: • Organising the entire issue from deciding on features, choosing interviewees and stories to be covered • Setting deadlines • Ensuring all content is sourced accurately and correctly to avoid missing editorial opportunities for existing and potential customers • Sourcing and researching stories • Conducting and transcribing interviews • Feature writing • Sub-editing • Photography • Page layout • Magazine pagination • Proofing • Final sign off for all editorial content • Editing and uploading online content • Social media posting • Organising the brand’s involvement in international tradeshows • Implementing and sustaining an internship programme for journalism studentsSkills: • Adhering to a strict style guide • Working with a team • Developing international relations • Able to adhere to strict deadlines under pressure • Brand representative • Meticulously organised • Multi-tasking • Creative thinking • Commercial feature planning • Organising and executing a marketing strategy using e-shots and a social media campaign • Appointing an independent judging panel for an international awards ceremony and overseeing the full judging process • Liaising with external contractors and sourcing equipment for an international awards ceremony • Script writing • Co-presenting at an awards ceremonyApplications: • Adobe Photoshop • Adobe Indesign • Microsoft Word • Microsoft Excel • WordPress • Filemaker • Mailchimp • Flat Plan
