AdZou is a full-service agency and a capstone program that's staffed by the seniors in the strategic communication area of the Missouri School of Journalism. My team, Soleil, created a research-based campaign for a multimedia survey start-up called ShineBIG. As Public Relations Account Executive, I was responsible for generating media coverage and sponsorships/promotion as part of my teams plan which includes drafting press releases, creating events, and helping the team come up with key messages. Also assisting as a Social Media Specialist, I was responsible for creating and implementing the social media strategy and web/digital plan. During the summer of 2015, I was the Corporate Communications Intern at H&R Block. This role helped me grow as an individual and as an aspiring communications specialist. During this internship I: Wrote and sent out more than 30 press releases to appropriate media outlets across the nation.Wrote and posted feature articles for enterprise-wide portal viewed by up to 80,000 associates.Created and published the communication vehicle highlighting all internal news content on a weekly basis. Planned and organized company-wide blood drive. Learned the back-end portal content management system (Open Text) and utilized it to load more than 30 articles.

Wrote weekly articles for the millennial target market. Wrote a viral article called "5 Things Royals Fans Want Cardinals Fan to Know" and was viewed over 46,000 times and shared via social 5,600 times.

Assisted in producing and sharing content to create awareness for online boutique.

Helped plan and coordinate Make A Wish Foundation auction event. Exemplified social media skills by posting Facebook updates for upcoming company events. Directed and edited promotional video for Make A Wish event.
