Karuna's mission is to generate meaningful social change by transforming the global impacts of conflict, violence and disasters. More than ever before, individuals and communities are being impacted by natural and human-made disasters and conflict. Traumatic events have become commonplace, cutting across all divides of class, gender, race, and culture. Often these events dismantle individuals and divide communities, creating systems that harm instead of help those they serve. Karuna sees beyond these challenges, recognizing conflict and chaos as opportunities to re-examine our relationships on every level and create more sustainable, connected communities and systems. We primarily work with two groups: national and international agencies and peacebuilding organizations; and the communities served by those agencies and organizations.

The Standing Against Global Exploitation Project—or the SAGE Project—is a nonprofit organization with one primary aim: bringing an end to the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adults (CSE/CSEC). We at SAGE contribute to that goal by raising awareness about CSE/CSEC issues, and by providing outreach and services to CSE/CSEC survivors.

CERI is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2005, serves underprivileged and traumatized refugees and immigrants from a range of countries, including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Cambodia, Iran, Laos, and Vietnam.
