Public Information Officer
CurrentDevelops and implements communications that advance the Maryland Stadium Authority’s (MSA) work across various earned and owned media to best inform constituents and stakeholders. The MSA’s mission is to plan, finance, build, and manage sports, entertainment, and education facilities in Maryland.• Collaborates with senior leadership on all public information, public relations, and public affairs matters.• Cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with local, regional, and national media across all platforms, and proactively places MSA news as approved.• Authors media releases, pitches, speeches, talking points, Op-Eds, FAQs, briefings, fact sheets, presentations, and other communications materials to support MSA’s team and amplify the agency’s messages. Serves as MSA’s spokesperson when appropriate.• Identifies and tracks legislation or regulations that impact the MSA. Monitors, attends and reports on relevant hearings, briefings, and meetings. Authors testimony for leadership and volunteer advocates.• Plans, prepares, composes, edits, and publishes traditional, digital and social media content for MSA.• Partners with the Maryland Sports Commission on destination sales and marketing initiatives.• Arranges tours and site visits for guests of the MSA at the Camden Yards Sports Complex.• Organizes MSA project ground breakings, ribbon cuttings, press conferences and public meetings. • Plans and executes MSA’s community service projects, professional development, and charitable giving program staff events.• Serves as MSA's Legislative Liaison, Veteran Services Specialist, Public Information Act Recipient, Constituent Services Liaison and Maryland Charity Campaign Loaned Executive.
