Responsible for overall payroll function, including processing and calculation of employee data, hours, garnishments and taxes in the HR/Payroll system, for over 35,000 employees in 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam.• Hire, train and manage payroll team, providing coaching and assignments.• Produce and analyze audit reports to ensure accuracy of biweekly payroll.• Oversee entry of special pay components, including employee stock transactions, bonus plans and long term incentives.• Verify payroll settlement, distributing and confirming data files for checks and direct deposits to external sources.• Collaborate with other teams, including HR Systems, IT, Accounting and Internal Audit to provide payroll and system expertise.• Interact extensively with external auditors to provide payroll data and detailed explanation of processes to demonstrate compliance with SOX requirements.
