Accountable for membership development, recruitment and retention initiatives at the national and chapter levels. Led efforts to drive long term member strategy including cultivation of significant industry partners (The Home Depot, Kohler and Home Advisor). Redesigned member services, activities and communications to decrease expenses and better align with NARI’s value proposition. Served as liaison for the Membership Committee and the Strategic Planning and Research Committee. Functioned as event manager for two national meetings, two chapter executive meetings and four local meetings.

Provided leadership, direction and administrative support to three subspecialty society clients. Elevated each society’s performance by expanding member development and society services and reorganizing educational programming and event planning.

Supported operations, marketing and member development for 50 state societies and societies located in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Educated state executives and leaders regarding matters impacting members. Consulted state executives and leaders on dues structures based on national trends. Oversaw activities and managed budgets related to key member groups (young physicians, residents, medical students and uniformed anesthesiologists). Monitored member concerns, industry movement and legislative issues in each state.

Led activities related to member development, recruitment and retention for an organization with 53,000 members that generated $22 million+ in dues revenue. Developed and executed a strategic plan to increase membership using various campaigns concentrating on prospective and former members. Leveraged member demographics and technology to continually refine strategies for recruitment and retention messaging. Contributed to the planning and managing of the association’s annual meeting. Served as liaison for the Membership Committee.

Supervised a small team that provided member service and administration to 16,000 members. Controlled operations for dues and non-dues revenue generating activities. Partnered with the Marketing Department to develop incentives, content and messaging to improve member engagement. Interacted with members at the association’s annual meeting.

Provided customer support to AMS clients including—but not limited to—a wide range of associations and nonprofit organizations. Adapted quickly to understand each client’s business model and technology needs. Trained software users and developed materials to support training activities.
