After a lengthy public service career, specializing in technology, management, and training, I retired to my first love, the farm. Over the past 10 to 12 years I bred, raised, and provided early handling and training to several horses destined for eventing competition. ("Eventing" is often called the 'triathlon' for horse and rider, requiring a horse with intelligence, athletic ability, stamina, and grace.) In 2015, that phase of activity drew to a close, and my husband and I purchased a new, simpler property with the objective of building a retirement farm for ourselves and the horses. Our new, smaller business is focused on providing a comfortable, caring environment for our clients' retired horses to live out their days. Thus, we have provided a full life cycle of care to the horses under our stewardship, over the years.
