- worked with a senior engineer on the team to get the new PagerDuty on-prem agent written in Golang production ready- added a heartbeat request to the agent to improve estimates of the number of agents that are running on customer servers- created an architecture diagram for project's developer documentation- built out the Golang agent's capability to send V1 PagerDuty events, to bring parity with the aging Python on-prem agent- with the agent's new ability to send V1 events, built out the Nagios, Sensu and Zabbix integrations, again bringing parity with the again Python agent- automated the creation and signing of packaged releases using CircleCI, OpenPGP, and GoReleaser- created a new configuration option which allowed the agent to send events to the new European Union service region- investigated the effort involved to transition the Nagios outbound integration to a newer version of webhooks- documented recommendations for the team's next steps required to prepare the agent to be community owned after building out the new agent functionality and investigating the inbound integration event pipeline

- implemented in Elixir, tested and documented a new public endpoint to the webhook subscriptions API that enabled subscriptions after being disabled due to persistent 5XX or 4XX responses on webhook payloads- worked to deploy the team's Terraform infrastructure, and back-end webhook creation and delivery services to the all-new European Union service region- after working on a primarily front-end team at PagerDuty previously, worked in a leadership role while the team completed the implementation of an in-app React webhook subscription management interface- offered implementation, testing, debugging, and design pattern selection expertise to the team which had previously owned exclusively back-end services- pioneered the use of MirageJS at PagerDuty in the webhook subscription management interface project to reduce developer effort required for local development, writing React Testing Library unit tests, and writing end-to-end Cypress tests- investigated a transient mystery bug present in an old version of the internal webhook subscription API that had been known for months, but had not been able to be reproduced- presented findings of the investigation to the team which received praise and many confessed learnings from many senior engineers in the organization after reproducing and resolving the bug which was being caused by old, complex permissions code written in Rails that had been present since the PagerDuty's conception- added soft delete functionality for old versions of webhook subscriptions by conducting a production database migration and making changes to the existing Rails webhook subscriptions APIs- won the Dutonian's Choice award by vote at a company-wide hackweek for contributions to a project which aimed to bring webhook delivery logging infrastructure and user interface to PagerDuty customer support representatives and customers alike

- created an in-app React notification bar to alert free plan users when they were approaching or had met their free plan limit, which drove a 4% increase in conversion rate of free accounts to paid accounts - worked as the lead developer on the implementation, automated testing, end-to-end QA and release of an in-app React onboarding experience for all new users designed to increase product adoption and account retention by guiding users through a set of steps to prompt adding users, schedules and escalation policies, and receiving their first test incident notification- worked with another engineer to develop an account creation API in Elixir to be used by authorized PagerDuty partners to demo their product for potential customers, positioning PagerDuty as the de facto incident alerting software for new trial accounts- joined the engineers on-call rotation during work hours and resolved over 10 incidents - worked in an Scrum environment and joined the team's scrum master rotation- some of the stack I used: React, Cypress, Segment, Optimizely, SumoLogic, Rails, Ember.js, Elixir
