Raina Singh is an urban planning professional with 14+ years of experience working with government, civil society, research and academic institutions. Over the span of her career, Raina’s work has focused on supporting national and sub-national governments towards mainstreaming climate action and disaster resilience in urban planning and governance frameworks. Through policy research, data and knowledge support, technical advisory and capacity building, she has contributed to the development and implementation of key national and international initiatives in 100+ cities across South and Southeast Asia. These include the Rockefeller Foundation’s Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network and 100 Resilient Cities initiatives, and the Government of India’s Smart Cities Mission, National Mission on Sustainable Habitat, and Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework to name a few.In her current role at CDRI, Raina is steering the development of the forthcoming Report on Global Infrastructure Resilience. Earlier, at C40 Cities, she recently supported Delhi and Dhaka cities in formulating their climate action plans. She has several published articles and research papers to her credit and has delivered teaching assignments at SPA Delhi and TERI School of Advanced Studies.
