A total of 40 years of work experience. 14 years as an officer in Indian Coast Guard, Technical cadre from early 1982 to late 1995. Took a premature release from service and started my own service company in the field of marine pollution with a specialization in oil spill response in the name of Viraj Clean Sea enterprises Pvt Ltd (www.virajcse.com). The company was and still, is a pioneer in this field, though my relationship with the company got over in 2020 when the team became capable to look after its operation without my guidance. Viraj was known for its integrity, honesty, and the way it looked after customers and employees interest with the same fervourThen Covid happened, which gave me time for extensive reading on a variety of subjects to build my next plan of action.During my introspection time of almost 2 years, I realized that businesses, across the industries, have more HR problems than technical ones in finding their path and making themselves more profitable. One thing led to another, which helped me to take on my new role of a business culture promoter. Even when I was heading Viraj, I saw that employees don't think alike despite the continuous efforts of the management. This in turn lowers productivity.In my current innings, I plan to coach companies on how to bring a cultural shift in the organizations depending upon their mission and vision. I will also enumerate to them the advantages of having a smooth culture in the personal lives of the employees also.
