As the Lead Android Developer at Shuru, I joined as the 3rd employee and took full ownership of Android development, scaling the app from 0 to over 5M+ downloads. I designed and implemented features from scratch using technologies like Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, XML, Firebase, Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM), and Compose Multiplatform.I worked extensively with ExoPlayer for video playback and live streaming, creating engaging features for Shuru, a social media platform where users can connect locally, share posts, and engage with their community.
