I am building the Reachdesk data science team to develop recommendation systems to help our customers gift smarter - what should they be sending, too whom and when. I have established the data science and engineering team. Together with the engineering and product teams, we have deployed Databricks as our data lakehouse, developed a recommendation system ready for use in production and provided support across the business in data intensive work, such as the Reachdesk iQ blog and State of Gifting Report, internal metrics for customer churn, vendor performance and company efficiency.

• Led international teams of astrophysicists. Conducted research from initial conception through construction, data analysis and dissemination.• VERITAS software lead. Directed upgrades, code reviews and validation. Developed of a Docker image library and an automated quality control procedure. Designed and deployed analysis pipeline (Python & MySQL) to remove 90% of the workload from users.• Developed Muon Hunters, a citizen science project to classify large data volumes for validation of unsupervised learning algorithms. With over two million classifications it improved accuracy and completeness whilst engaging over 10,000 volunteers.• Mentored multiple students and taught introductory undergraduate astronomy to non‑science majors. Encouraged students to develop new skills and grow into new areas whilst maintaining ownership of their own education.• Won the Trevor Weekes award for service for my contributions to the VERITAS experiment.
