The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride, the world's largest motoring event was founded in 2012. Inspired by a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit, It was decided a themed ride would be a great way to combat the often-negative stereotype of men on motorcycles. That first ride brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The success of the event encouraged the organisers to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause. And the rest, as they say, is stylishly-attired history. In 2013, over 11,000 participants in 145 cities around the world raised over $277,000 AUD for prostate cancer research. In 2014, over 20K smartly-dressed gentlefolk in over 220 cities to straddle the saddle in the name of men’s health raising over $1.5M USD. In 2015, over 40K smartly-dressed gentlefolk in over 400+ cities join us in raising over $2.3M USD. In 2016 over 57K participants in 505 cities from 90 countries mounted their motorcycles to raise awareness and $3.65M USD to help fund research into prostate cancer and support male suicide prevention on behalf of The Movember FoundationIn 2017, more than 93K participants in 582 cities from 92 countries joined the fight to raise awareness and $4.85M USD to help fund research into prostate cancer and support men's mental health on behalf of The Movember Foundation2018 saw over 120K participants from 95 countries raise an incredible $6.1M USD for men's health, globally.

On the 3rd of June 2018, tens-of-thousands of two-wheeled enthusiasts around the world will lace up their boots, strap on their helmets and ride together in aid of various charities that together, work tirelessly to improve the lives of so many.
