Plastic Product and Mold Designer Computer-Aided Design (CAD) (+16years experience)• Responsible for preparing product design files (3D model + 2D drawings) for mold design process.• Responsible for designing different plastic injection molds and has a sufficient knowledge about various molds layout and mechanisms.• Make all calculations related to mold systems (Filling system, Cooling system, Ejection system, etc.)• Workout a complete design of plastic injection molding and create 3D cad model and 2D engineering drawings.• Prepare mold specification and checklist.• Assist in product/tool development and molding process.• Ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing and assembly till production trial run.• Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner.• Conduct check to ensure all programs and tooling are correct.• Ensure all work is performed accurately, efficiently and on time schedule.- DFM Report presentation "Design for Manufacturing"can influence all types of project decisions, including but not limited to:Product info | Type and form of raw material used | Dimensional tolerances | Overall method of manufacturing the mold.- CAE Analysis presentation "Computer-Aided Engineering"" mold flow analysis " to identify potential defects and visualize how the plastic fills, packs, cools, and ejects from the mold, and how these factors affect the quality and appearance of the product during the injection molding process, such as warping, shrinkage, sink marks, air traps, weld lines, and short shots.
