Consultant. Various assignments and locations. Frequently subcontractor for IBM.•E. & J. Gallo Winery – Developed a multi-browser, web based purchase order tracking system. Used WebSphere. Data Driven design. •In House – Developed a Web Services client/server package for the Comcare system. The client was written in Java/Swing. The server utilized Apache/AXIS, Versant/OpenAccess JDO, and both Versant and MySql. •E. & J. Gallo Winery – Ported multiple applications from WebSphere 4.x to 5.0. Re-architected their WebAsn product to use Kodo/JDO and improved performance by implementing a deferred object retrieval methodology.•I2 (for IBM) – Worked in various capacities while at I2. Developed a WPS 5.02 Portlet Demo/POC to be used as a sales tool for the I2/IBM sales team. This involved writing a presentation layer that wrapped the existing I2 MVC presentation layer, allowing the existing I2 screens to function as portlets with little or no modifications. Ported and configured the Transportation suite of products to a Windows/WebSphere/DB2 environment.•Safeway (for IBM) – Worked on a proof-of-concept using WebSphere 5.0 and servlet-to-servlet communications in a clustered UNIX (AIX and Solaris) environment. Responsible for proving the feasibility of Safeway’s current application to a clustered multiplatform environment. •BellSouth – Java processing of multiple batch feeds using the ILog Rules Engine. Responsible for performance tuning of Versant and non-Versant java development, as well as general infrastructure development.•SIAC – Performance tuning for a high-transaction financial system.•Ovid – Designed and Implemented a system to store large XML Documents efficiently in a Versant Database.•In House - Wrote class manipulator that modifies class files at load time, allowing then to express themselves as an XML data structure.•In House - Wrote utility to move XML structures into a Versant Database as XML/DOM objects format.

• Responsible for managing existing customer accounts. • Identified new leads, managed consultants, and provided technical consultation within these accounts. • Participated in pre-sales technical design sessions and proofs-of-concept for iPlanet.• Assisted in design and development of an automated EJB to XML interface utility. • Responsible for researching the areas of UDDI, JAXM, JAXP, JAXB, ebXML. • Developed a prototype incorporating JAXM, JAXB(Castor), UDDI4J, ebXML and various utilities residing on Bea/WebLogic. Design followed UML standards using the Webgain tool. Development incorporated J2EE standards such as Java, EJB, JSP, and XML.• Attended IPlanet Application Server Development course

•Managed assignments, project plan, for a development team of five. •Lead implementation of entire “hub and spoke” architecture. •Designed and implemented a flexible “hub and spoke” architecture that allows diverse OSS systems (Billing, Order Entry, Provisioning, and others) to communicate via a single interface. Responsible for third-party application interface development. Participated in overall architecture design. •Designed and developed an Object Oriented back-end data model allowing the user to store data from diverse systems into a common database•Technologies used were BEA/Tuxedo, MQSeries, Orbix (CORBA), Versant and C++ on Solaris (UNIX) and NT platforms.
