After 45 years I found I actually enjoy a part of the profession, so under my own shingle - Tranquility Advisory & Education Services LLC, I'll be working a bit with a few long-term Client-Friends while I enjoy some leisure time. I'll continue my philosophy of providing the same services and advice to my clients as I would my dad and continue taking a business approach to the analysis process. Mr. Rees draws on his experience to identify relevant information and evaluates the information for risk exposure material to the deal. By focusing on matters that are material to the individual transaction and boxing in identified risk, Mr. Rees facilitates client’s and 3rd party stakeholders in gaining a realistic perspective of EHS conditions. This fact-based objective approach reduces uncertainty and assists all parties with negotiations, deal structure, and keeps EHS matters from unnecessarily complicating deal closings. This also allows for the management, control, and mitigation of EHS-related risk.Mr. Rees’ extensive experience includes being a regulator in environmental and public health agencies at the state and local level, environmental contractor, an advisor for EHS due diligence, permitting and compliance, hazardous waste management and cleanups, remedial investigations, emergency response, UST remediation and investigations, and developed and instructed courses privately and at colleges and Universities.Mr. Rees was a member of the Oregon DEQ Remedial Action Advisory Committee and served on the Hazardous Materials Program Advisory Board at Mt. Hood Community College.
