Product names were trademarked logos for fronts and translated on backsides.- In 2002, Randy started his Split screen art showing the same subject matter at different times on the left and right sides and connecting and lining them up in the middle.     • Part of the Cabbage Patch Kids success. In 1983-85, designed one of the Cabbage Patch Kids Dolls logos for the Baby Koosas line and many packages. Was a part of the largest and most successful toy launches in the history of the toy industry.• Discovered an untapped market for BIC Pens. In 1989 Invented and designed the BIC Wavelengths. Started with Animal Skin patterns wrapped around pens. No one at the time was using zebra stripes on clothing either. When I showed Mr. Bruno Bic my concept he said, "Randy! This is what we have been waiting for!" - the rest is history! I created the whole Wavelengths lines & illustrations&designs. This tapped into a new market and made $50 Million the first year with writing instrument sales up 1/3!• Digital Art pioneer. In 1990 created some of the first Fineart using photoshop. Used some on Bic pens as well. • Designed one of the very first corporate websites ever made in 1994 for The Hartford Insurance Group. As the sole designer working with programmers, we discussed there being 1 million internet users one day and the internet changing the future. • From 1999 - 2006 As global creative director and brand co-chairman, won over 100 national design awards for package design and merchandising seen in every major retailer worldwide.• 2002 created the side-by-side split images art style everywhere today. Established a process that allowed designers to complete 3X more project work from 2008-2009. Created first ever special projects department production schedule tracking all projects.- Won American Graphic Design Award for printed Digital Media Brochure. - Established new monthly collaboration meeting bringing talented designers and animators together sharing their great work with each other. Planned, ran, summarized and then shared learnings from each meeting.- Directed daily show production graphics and animations to be creative, entertaining and consistent to brand standards. - Managed a staff of 8 designers and animators supporting all shows including SportCenter, NewsHD, Baseball Tonight, College Basketball, NFLIVE and College Football. Stanley's chairman, John Trani referred to my department as "his secret weapon to win the war in the store!" because we helped our marketing department with every big sales opportunity at point of purchase.- I personally designed most Stanley sub-brands and branded new looks that helped build the Stanley Brand to be it's strongest ever in history. - Was responsible globally for all packaging, merchandising and all branded materials including the creation of all new sub brands and line extensions. Established packaging hierarchy with a good, better, best strategy working with major retail customers like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace True Value, Sears and Various Clubs.- Directed creative with staffs in the US (Connecticut, Ohio and Rhode Island), England and Taiwan.
