The I.T. Specialist assists the I.T. Administrator in the operations of the computer network. He maintains the Information System (IS), phone and alarm systems and office equipment. The I.T. Specialist works with vendors, programmers, and customers to aid with installation and troubleshooting needs. Some other key tasks include (but are not limited to) troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems, configuring and installing operating systems; training users; installing and troubleshooting network cable infrastructure; writing scripts and creating files to enhance operation systems. The I.T. Specialist maintains the Scada, Hansen and Granite XP software and equipment. The I.T. Specialist participates in the meter change out program as directed by the Operations Manager. The I.T. Specialist is responsible for the afterhours emergency answering service.The I.T. Specialist performs many daily tasks to ensure that all of the computers, office machines, telephones and meter reading equipment are functioning properly, this enables the Utility staff to perform their duties efficiently.

The I. T. Tech Meter Reading Supervisor assists the I. T. Administrator in the operations of the computer network. He maintains the IS, phone and alarm systems and office equipment. The IT Tech Meter Reading Supervisor assumes responsibility for certain Office Customer Service Team duties in the absence of Office Manager and Controller. He also maintains the equipment for and participates in the remote scanning process. The Meter Reading Supervisor also manages the reading of the meters. This includes route maintenance and ensuring that the meters are being read in a timely fashion so that utility customers are billed in a consistent manner every month. Answers all after hours emergency phone calls and assigns tasks to the proper personnel.The I. T. Tech Meter Reading Supervisor performs many daily tasks to ensure that all of the computers, office machines, telephones and meter reading equipment are functioning properly, this enables the Utility staff to perform their duties efficiently.

Under the direction of the Team Leader ( T L ), the Field Technician II (FT II) is accountable for all maintenance and repair of the water distribution and / or sewer collection systems. Is accountable for maintenance of equipment and vehicles. Is accountable for safety and policy procedures. Is accountable for quality and quantity of work accomplished. The FT II provides manual labor and operates equipment as necessary to adequately perform job tasks. All employees are responsible to the W/S FOM.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.
