As Communication lead for CPW, I was responsible for overseeing the public outreach for one of America's most well-known outdoor management agencies. The CPW communication team was responsible for relaunching a merged agency website and maintaining daily communication about outdoor recreation, wildlife interactions, as well as species and natural area preservation for future generations. From oversight of web and call center operations to directly responding to media and legislative inquiries, the CPW public information team was well known for being responsive, trustworthy, and passionate. We weren't saving the world... but we were supporting and promoting a great agency full of people who were doing the work to protect an important part of the world for future generations.

Research and write press releases. Serve as lead spokesperson for the University. Represent public relations on the University Leadership Team. Serve as main point of contact for media, public, and legislative inquiries. Work collaboratively with marketing, web master, and enrollment to create materials that support university mission. Oversee development of crisis communications, media standards, and speaker's bureau. Manage internal communication systems for staff, faculty, and administration.

Ran radio news operations for KUBC/KKXK, Montrose, Colorado; KHSN/KOOS, Coos Bay, Oregon, KEKB/KBKL, Grand Junction, Colorado; and Newsradio 1100, Grand Junction, Colorado. Winner of multiple statewide awards for news content. Responsible for managing broadcast staff and overseeing budgets.
