About Pranav Ranjan
Objective in analysis, Team player, Willingness to experiment. My last role was as Product Manager at Exploride, a startup developing a very innovative automotive product called Head Up Display (HUD). I was responsible for defining features, supporting R&D and managing deliverables across a very diverse engineering team.The concept and initial iterations of the product got considerable traction and recognition; however, we could not take it to mass manufacturing and thus failed.The experience tested me on multiple fronts, I particularly relished the challenges and learnings in working on a compelling product with a multidisciplinary team. My endeavor was to communicate and realize the potential I saw in the solution within the team and at investor events.Prior to Exploride, I was with Bravura Technologies, a leading vendor of mobile applications for meetings and conferences. I was the development manager responsible for translating the product management vision into a finished product. Being a part of startup I was wearing multiple hats; be it working on release management, architecture & design, coding for features, testing, deployment and handling support escalations.I see myself as a solution provider, I try to look beyond a requirement to delve deeper into understanding of what one is trying to achieve. The brainstorming with my team results in distillation of concepts that can then be taken towards design and implementation. I am hands-on with technology and work on POC implementation.My credo has been to play by the rules and do what is right, I respect and welcome difference of opinion and I believe the right idea should get promoted.The gaps in my employment timeline are because I have taken breaks to pursue other interests, primarily to travel to remote and interesting places.I am looking for a role that requires me to work at the confluence of product, technology and people management.
