About Raphael Alencar

I was born in São Paulo and moved to Guaratinguetá to study Mechanical Engineering at Unesp. Sharing accommodation with classmates, I took on responsibilities in financial and logistical organization. At university, I joined the FEG Robótica autonomous robot competition team, excelling in programming. In 2019, I led the programming of a line-following robot with Arduino Nano and PID control. In 2020, with the pandemic, I took part in creating educational material and selecting new members. In 2021, I became area leader, helping the team to create a sterilizing robot, gaining experience in PIC microcontrollers, C language and electronics. Later, I took over as deputy director and team director, managing finances and competition logistics.I'm currently an intern at Bosch's research and advanced engineering center in Germany, working on C++ development for in-vehicle monitoring. In addition, I maintain my hobbies of exploring cultures and gastronomy.

  • Tenaris
    Manufacturing Engineering
    Tenaris Mar 2024 - Present
    Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo, Brasil
In the OCTG manufacturing industry, I worked on the generation, manipulation and analysis of critical plant data, covering productivity, Pareto analysis of defects, WIP control, resource utilization, operational efficiency and yield. I used tools such as Power BI and Power Apps to optimize operations and support strategic decisions based on accurate data. I also played an active role in managing local continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bosch Research
    Internal Vehicle Monitoring Systems Developer
    Bosch Research Aug 2023 - Feb 2024
    Renningen, Baden-Württemberg, Alemanha
During my professional experience, I had the opportunity to work on the integration of camera systems into test vehicles, playing a key role in configuring the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). This involved ensuring that the cameras worked harmoniously inside the vehicles, contributing to the capture of essential data. To accomplish this task, I used C++ and gained valuable experience with the ADTF (Automotive Data and Time-Triggered Framework), implementing filters and managing the project with CMake. In addition, my role also included developing and adapting frameworks for acquiring and evaluating sensor data. This allowed our team to collect vital information from various sensors, ensuring that the camera systems and other components were in perfect sync. Another important part of my work was the preparation, implementation and evaluation of measurement series for experiments and tests. This involved creating detailed procedures, running rigorous experiments and carefully analyzing the results to ensure the effectiveness of the systems and the safety of the test vehicles. Overall, my experience allowed me to play a key role in integrating camera systems into test vehicles, ensuring their proper performance and the accurate collection of essential data for research and development purposes, as well as improving my skills in C++, ADTF, filters and CMake.
