1. General servicing, maintenance, repair of the vehicles and investigating causes of breakdowns if any.2. Prepare all workshop costs and reduce them to the maximum number 3. Maintain schedules of the workshop hours on the day to day basis.4. Organize and supervise the servicing, maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet and ensure that the vehicles are in good working conditions at all times.5. Ensure that the vehicles come to the workshop at the designated kilometres for servicing and reduce the number of breakdowns to 0%6. Investigate and diagnose the causes of vehicle breakdown and accidents and apportion blames accordingly by ensuring that defaulters take financial responsibility for the cost of repairs.7. Ensure that the workshop is functional at all times and that vehicles awaiting repairs are attended to with dispatch.8. Provide purchasing manager periodically with the list of parts that are frequently used for the replacement to avoid stock-outs.9. Ensure maintenance vehicles must be assigned to a designated Mechanic(s) and proper note is taken in case the vehicles fail.10. Design a working timesheet to ensure vehicles do not exceed the required time once inside the workshop. At least 24hours of time the truck should be out of the workshop.11. Ensure the mobile maintenance team/Vehicle is always available when called upon.12. Recover to base all broken down vehicles or accidental trucks/trailers with dispatch.13. Ensure that the truck/trailer are thoroughly checked and bolt, tires and nuts retightened on the arrival of the vehicles.14. Organize training for the workshop team and helpers to improve the quality of service.15. Ensure that all the tools and equipment in the workshop are functional and are being prudently used.16. Organize training in conjunction with the training unit for all the drivers especially on how to handle minor breakdowns.17. Avoid pilfering of the company’s tools and materials.

Coordinating execution of third party service contracts for repair and maintenance of vehicles and mobile equipment.11. Actively coordinating with the warehouse clerk concerning parts requirements and expected deliveries.12. Ensure that safety regulations are followed in the workshop, by both workshop personnel and visitors.13. Selecting tools/equipment/machinery needed for the workshop, as well as spare parts for existing machinery.14. Manage the maintenance of workshop facilities and fixed equipment15. Manage and coordinate the safety and compliance of subcontractors engaged to operate within the workshop, office and yard e.g. Cranes, forklifts, etc.16. Setting quality assurance compliance objectives to achieve the targets.17. Promoting performance improvement and quality assurance programs in the workshop.18.
