Pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics from North Carolina State University. My research interests include Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) Mapping, pathway analysis, metabolomic data analysis, multi-omic genetic data analysis, evolutionary algorithms, and machine learning. Expected graduation is Fall 2016.

Center of Excellence for Document Analysis and Recognition (CEDAR)Researcher under Dr. Venugopal Govindaraju and Dr. Srirangaraj Setlur* Implement and debug software programs to create XML documents for handwriting recognitiontools.* Test and verify the given data as a pre-processor for utilization of recognition software tools.* Discovering mapping between available online and offline handwriting data.

I perform research under Dr. Walker Land, in Bioinformatics. Furthermore, I work within the Bioengineering department as a student assistant.

* Applied high dimensional data (cancer microarray data) to sophisticated complex adaptive systemsalgorithms to discover biomarker sets for the prognosis of colon cancer.* Implemented Algorithms include: Genetic Algorithm and Support Vector Machine hybrid andPartial Least Squares in the programming language of Python.* Implemented a noise perturbation and hierarchical cluster analysis to overcome over-fitting in thesystem and identify reproducible and relevant biomarker sets.* Tested the validity and effectiveness of discovered biomarker sets by biological network analysis andstatistical generalizability.* Advised undergraduate students with projects and taught them techniques used.
