I have seven years of experience in project coordination, advocacy and communication, and case management, working with various organizations in the humanitarian field, with a Gender and Women’s Studies degree from Cairo Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Middle East Technical University, Anakara. As an IPF Program Officer at ICAN, I manage all stages of grantmaking for women-led peacebuilding organizations in countries affected by violent conflict, extremism, and militarism. I provide technical support and contribute to the IPF's learning and evaluation processes. Previously, I co-led DARB, a youth-led organization aiming to deepen awareness and restore peace bridges among local communities, where I increased its visibility, established the Advocacy and Communication Unit, and implemented a gender-related project. I also developed media platforms, coordinated advocacy campaigns, and built relations with other networks for SNA, a gathering of Syrian NGOs working in the humanitarian field. The Innovative Peace Fund (IPF) is the first and only independent, multi-donor, global grant-making mechanism wholly dedicated to providing financial support and technical assistance to women-led peacebuilding organizations in countries affected by violent conflict, extremism and militarism.As an IPF Program Officer, I will be responsible for all stages of grantmaking for grantees, including reviewingtheir funding requests, conducting due diligence, completing risk assessments, reviewingproposals, issuing grant agreements, monitoring the implementation of the projects and reviewingtheir final reports.
