I was tasked with troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading control systems throughout the facility. While here I converted the antiquated servo drives on the Langston Rotofold system to Kinetix drives. I also replaced the Giddings and Lewis PLC on one of the stackers with a Contrllogix chassis and replaced the various DC VFDs with AC VFDs or servos as.

I was originally hired as a programmer to assist with automation issues throughout the facility after the company had moved production to a new facility. This involved programming conveyor systems in the new plant configuration as well as troubleshooting controls issues with the production equipment. I also converted all the DC VFDs on their corrugator.

I contracted with various corrugated converting manufacturers throughout the US to provide automation assistance with their flexographic printers, rotary die cutters, stackers and folder gluers. This involved remote troubleshooting of controls issues via dial up modem as well as on site visits for more complex issues. I also designed a servo control system.

When I separated from the Navy I accepted a position in the tear down laboratory in their Sydney, Oh location. Here I was tasked with disassembling and noting the condition of the internal components of compressor products produced by Copeland after testing was completed on the units. I transferred from Sydney, Oh. to Natchitioches, La. to start a tear.
