Rockwell Electronic Commerce is a global provider of multimedia customer contact management technology.As part of the IT infrastructure support team, my responsibilities was to support the Sun servers. I was part of the Y2K team providing support leading to and during the rollover period. During my time at Rockwell, I've implemented a couple of new technologies to support the business - The Faxcom fax server environment for network faxing capability and Primus eSupport, a web based knowledge publishing tool for issues and resolution documentation. I've also supported a major Solaris name service change to a more secured service.

Charles Industries, Ltd. is a privately held, diversified manufacturing and technology company serving Telecommunication, Wireless, Broadband/CATV, Utilities, Marine and Industrial markets.My role at Charles was to provide IT support for the company. This includes supporting the network and compute infrastructure. I designed a document control system that tracks documents electronically. The document control systems was written in TCL/TK includes a graphical user interface enabling anyone with very little computer knowledge to navigate and use. The systems were designed to support a workflow process, enabling documents to be released from the engineering team to the document control system team for use in the final product delivery regardless of the operating systems that they were using.

Teltrend was a privately owned company that designs, manufactures, and markets a range of transmission products for telecommunications companies. The Company offers products for use in voice and data services by telephone companies.My primary role at Teltrend was a computer aided design (CAD) engineer. In this role I was responsible for maintaining the digital components library used in the drawings, generated/updated electronic design of the printed circuit boards (PCB) and the schematics used in the designs. I was involved in some of the most important projects in the company, including the Intelligroup product line.I automated the PCB documentation system that enabled technicians to generate the necessary documentation to manufacture the circuit boards. I set up a Graphical User Interface using an existing module from Viewlogic that enables the technician to selectively run jobs to create Autocad mechanical drawings of the PCB using pre-fabricated templates. This automation reduces the possibility of human errors and the time it takes to generate the mechanical drawings from 1 ½ hours to 15 minutes. The benefit is that it enables the company to reduce the research and development timeline and reduce the time to bring the product to market.

Iton Encan a manufacturer of remote data management systems for utilities and telephone companies.As a consultant, I implemented the Scicards printed circuit board design system and the Viewlogic schematic design system. I've integrated the two systems and built the electronic components library for the systems. I've also established PCB design standard and trained the Engineers to use tool.
