I am a CSIRO Early Career Research (CERC) Fellow based in WA. My current project is investigating uses of lupin as a crop for improvement of farming systems using controlled environments and field trials. My previous postdoctoral position was at the University of Melbourne for a Future Drought Fund funded project with a heavy focus on crop agronomy, drought stress Si supplementation. Prior to that, I was a technical analyst for cannabinoid and terpenoid in medicinal cannabis within a CRC-P project at SCU.My PhD in plant science from Southern Cross University focused on the genetic variation in plant nutritional compositions, nutritional data management, and developed pre-breeding indices using a model underutilized legume (bambara groundnut) which can be translated to other minor species with limited literature. I developed a workflow to enhance the availability of the nutrition compositional data of legume crops and contributed to the development of the Crop Dietary Nutritional Ontology (CDNO). With over a decade of experience in plant and crop research, I am passionate about understanding how plants adapt and mitigate changes in their environment, especially the effects of climate change on nutritional composition and seed quality. My main area of focus is food legumes, nutritional composition, farming system, agronomy with a growing interest in phenomics and high throughput phenotyping. As a scientist, I am a keen learner of data dissemination and scientific communication. I am looking to connect and collaborate with other researchers in my research area.
