As a Mechanical Engineering student, I find that taking pride in your work is one of the most important things anyone can do. Likewise, Texas A&M lays a good foundation for core values, especially for engineers - "Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, and Selfless Service". Beyond that, competence and communicative ability are two of the most important qualifications to be a good engineer. It is my daily mission to embody those qualities.My journey as an engineer began in 2021, when I moved to our family ranch and got my first taste of actual hands-on work. I came to enjoy seeing work come together, with my own eyes, by my own hands - so naturally, I bought an old Ford Bronco to wrench on - it still gives me trouble to this day. When I came to A&M, I had a taste of what Mechanical Engineering had to offer, and I wanted more. I joined Aggie Lemons, where I got to experience high-stakes environments through repairing the race-car when the race was 6 hours out. I joined the Engineering Community of Scholars, where I became a student leader and played a role in doubling the mentorship interest within the ECOS dorm.This summer, I got to intern with OMEGA Engineers, Inc., which was an invaluable learning experience, where I learned what it meant to apply myself in industry. My learning abilities, communicative skills, and work ethic were put to the test - and I came out better for it.This year, I'm researching Semiconductors and Electronics Cooling for Thermal Engineering Group - and I'm excited to see where it takes me.If you'd like to reach out, my information is below.
