💻 Full Stack DeveloperHello World! I'm Andrew Mitchell, a passionate full-stack software developer. I use full-stack here in the broadest sense, I primarily work as a full-stack web dev, but I have broad experience across many areas of programming including backend and frontend web development, .NET development, desktop, mobile, and more. I know many frameworks, and over a dozen programming languages.📖 Continuous LearningI taught myself how to program at the age of 12 using the vast array of resources available online. Java was my first programming language, but I quickly went on to learn HTML/CSS/JavaScript/NodeJS within the next year, and then by the age of 14 I published a small mobile game I developed using the .NET-based Unity game engine. I spent the next year reinforcing what I had already learned, as well as picking up C, C++, and PHP. I spent the remainder of my high school years learning various things and honing my skills in my two passion areas: web development and game development. Driven by curiosity I spent my free time during university experimenting with various new technologies such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain, AI, and quantum computing. I also spent significant time doing freelance web development and hobbyist game development (using the C++ based Unreal Engine now instead of Unity). My curiosity continues, Rust is my current obsession.🎓 EducationMy programming knowledge is primarily self-taught, but I did attend traditional educational institutions as well. I went to Monroe High School and also completed a 2-year IT program at Butler Tech. After graduating high school in 2018, I went to Wright State University, where I earned my Bachelor's in Computer Science in 2022.🔗 Connect & CollaborateAlthough a natural introvert, I love forging new connections with people - both those within the industry and those outside of it. I'm a naturally curious person and I tend to pick up new hobbies all the time.
