After graduating from NYU with a degree in Acting, Joanna headed for warmer winters and the mild climate of Southern California. A resident of Los Angeles for 10 years, her employment background ranges from retail to restaurants, corporate america to working from home. Joanna's passion is laughter. An award-winning improvisational actress, Joanna has been featured on prank TV shows, as a "caller" on radio morning shows, and as a mainliner in various comedy venues throughout the city. Joanna has even entertained our troops! She performs with improv group 8 Ball, voted best improv group on My Fox LA's Hotlist. Another passion for Joanna is helping people. She donates time and money to many charitable organizations with a primary focus on environmental concerns and civil rights. When Joanna is not in Los Angeles, you might find her visiting friends and family or traveling abroad. A frequent flyer, she enjoys jet-setting as well as trips close to home. Joanna is also a voracious reader, and considers herself a perpetual student. Goals for the future include the television sitcom she is writing and series regular roles for television.
